Why Build a School?  What are the objectives?

De Craft Dmiklo McDaniel International School

There are many children in Nigeria, who does not have the opportunity to attend school.  The Poor and the Needy and orphans in the community, do not have the propensity to attend school because, their widow mothers could not afford to send their children to National schools primarily for their lack of money and finance.

Without a schooling opportunity, the neglected children we will have missed the chance to excel to become men and women of substance.  Our organization aims to help, educate the poor and orphan children in Nigeria who do not have the means to access education.

The intended school has been established to accommodate the students in the same vicinity around Lagos, to offer the children of poor families a safe environment for learning and to grow up unhindered to be well educated citizens of Nigeria.

The school intends to keep the young from the influences of local gangs and thugs, and to provide schooling and training for progression to higher learning. The school will provide an opportunity to educate the young making them Better Educated, hence a formidable work force for the community and Nigeria in the near future. With education, the young will have a better opportunity to succeed and gain improved chances of employment, leading to a better future. The school envisions providing an opportunity to train up a pool of hidden talents and to create self confidence for those who are in need of such training.

The young generation of children growing up in Nigeria, some who may be the future leaders of industry and government has to be provided with an opportunity to be educated to their fullest ability. Human Resource, is a very import ant and precious to Nigeria, that every child citizen born in Nigeria must be given the opportunity to excel in education so that Nigeria, will have strong pool of young leaders, technocrats, doctors engineers and other specialist., to spearhead and champion the development of Nigeria in economic terms.

As a non-profit organization, we are privileged to be working hand in hand with all well wishers who have a sense of compassion to help all who are in need.  Therefore anyone wishing to join me and participate in such activities are welcome and encouraged to do so whom their children does not have access to school, it will be free Education.

What Facilities are available?

There are classes available to accommodate about 30 students per class to allow an efficient teaching and effective learning. The school has a Gymnasium for physical education and a Library for self learning of other subjects of interest so as to enrich the minds of the young learners.  Wash room facilities are also available; separate Washrooms for Boys and Girls. A small patch of grassland land is made available for outdoor sports game.

Who administers the school?

The School will be run by Administration staff, from the Lekki District School Board. Teachers are appointed directly by the School Board. The school has a pool of members making up the Board of Trustees who are responsible for the management of the school and for the approving of expenditures and managing the finance of the school expenses.

Administration is an integral part of the High school for good discipline in the school. The school is a Catholic school, and has a Chapel for prayers and morning Mass celebration.

What Levels of Education are provided?

The School shall award a Certificate for Completion of High School, on successful completion at Grade 12, which includes a Testimony of all grades achieved by the student.

The school also have provision for  students who delay their studies for a year or more due to prolong illnesses, or for those recovering from accidents at  Alternate learning Centers  which are separate places for these students  

Canned Food Donations.

The Schools will participate earnestly in the collection of donations of canned food stuff from any willing donors. Collected food donations, will be distributed to poor families and widows on festive occasions such as Easter, Christmas and other local celebrations.  Collected donations will also be given to known or affiliated Food banks for them to distribute to any needy organizations.

Why build a Hospital?

The hospital will provide standard or simple medicines to treat the poor, a place where they can seek medical help or assistance. The hospital is a place for the poor to recover from injuries sustained and for the sickly or disabled where help and assistance can be rendered. The hospital will also be providing opportunities for corrective operations for the poor.

The hospital will treat all kinds of diseases and injuries, and supported by an emergency department to deal with immediate and urgent threats to health.

The hospital also has its own fleet of ambulances to ferry patients to and from the hospital. Specialized Medical staff to man the hospital department and are equipped with modern medical state of art equipment. The hospital has a large numbers of beds for intensive care and long-term care.

The hospital will be staff by professional physicians, surgeons, and nurses. Common support units includes a pharmacy, many consultation rooms and clinics, Operating theatres for surgery, pathology, and radiology etc.

The top floor and roof of the hospital building will be used for recreational activities, rehabilitation purposes and chronic treatment units.

Alms for the poor and the destitute.

The hospital is also a place for the old, destitute and uncared for, providing collected and new clothing and shoes for their use. The hospital has provision for the widows, who has loss of a Bread winner, or those who have lost their man due to war, calamities and accidents. It is a place for the young infants and teenagers or young adult, who have loss their parents due to accidents, illnesses and diseases.

Why make a Donation?

1. Donate for a good cause, with compassion and charity; being doing a good deed.
2. Helping the widows, orphans and the destitute, a group of helpless, vulnerable and neglected people who are part of the community at large.
3. Donations will be purely used to build and complete a facility that provides many amenities, provisions and service for the deprived and less fortunate, an opportunity to use and enjoy these necessities, which is not available to them.
4. What amount to donate?

1. Kindly donate as little as US $1.00 or US $5.00 if you have the compassion to help these under privilege citizens and people of Nigeria.
2. If you have the propensity and the compassion to donate larger amounts, if you desire of your kindness and your choice; we will be most thankful for your kindness, compassion and your generosity.
3. Should you need an Official receipt, we will send you one, for your kind gesture and your donations. Please request for an Official Receipt if you require one for Tax purposes.

Qualities to Look for in a Woman.

These are the Qualities to Look for in a Woman.

My mum says from a point of a woman, these are the values and what to look for in a woman to be your future spouse.

1. Beauty - she has to be beautiful, so that you can assure that she will be like and adored every where you take her to.

2. Smart and intelligent - she has to be able to decide well and make good decisions without your interference.

3. Honesty - she has to be honest and chaste, that she will not cheat you and meet other men, when you are away for some reasons for work or others.

4. Humble Good House wife - she has to be able to cook and take care of your means and house keep to make sure that your house is well kept and clean and presentable at all time- spick and span - clean.

5. Good Mother - be able to bear a few children for you so that your lineage and continuation of the family name.

She must be able to teach and train her children to be well behaved darlings.

She must refrain from smoking and drinking which is bad for the health of her children and family.

6. Loving - she must really develop a love for you, so that she only has you in every thought and that of her children too.

She always respects her husband; if she has issues always seek the thoughts of her spouse.

She will go all out to ensure that all is done for her family’s benefit under all circumstances.

7. Caring & Concern - She should be filled with this in all her actions, in order that she makes sure that she protects you and your children in all situations, according to her ability

8. Financial controller - she must be able to manage well all the money, funds and properties in the family, in such a way that the family, always have food on the table, spare cash for moderate spending, plan for activities for the family on weekends and for vacation holidays.

She has to manage the money she holds and to save and control the expenses. She must not gamble.

9. Wisdom and Vision - She must be able to have a wise mind such that she is able to find solutions to all problems she faces and to be able to plan for new things for the benefit of her family.

10. Independent - she has to be able to stand on her own, be able to make decisions and not bother you with simple problems.

If she is not sure she can share her problems and propose what she thinks is the best solution for or to solve it.

Then both of you can then decide together for the solution if her solution is not ideal.

How to assess her suitability?

My mum then tells me, to assess her, you then draw up a scale of 1 to 10, and give her a grading.

At the end of the assessment, total up her score and that is the quality of the woman, you see before your eyes. 

Be extremely crude and do not have any compassion when deciding.

For every point the lady must score at least 7 or 8 points. 

If she is good she is good then gives her 10 points for perfection; if she is bad then gives her 1 point. 

Give a discount, maximum 20% only. Reject the woman if her score is less than 80 points, she will be problematic in future.

Either accept or reject as necessary. If for some reasons, you still want her as your spouse then you have to live with your decision.

The prospective lady can be shown what she needs to improve if she is chosen, and she must agree to change and improve on herself.

She says no one is perfect, but you have to be honest and sincere, truthful and righteous in your assessment, or else you will face the consequences for being too lenient in your selection of your partner.
